Dominik Meier continues to represent de'ge'pol on the P.A.C.E. board

Public Affairs Community of Europe sets the course for the future at this year's general meeting

The general meeting of the Public Affairs Community of Europe has reelected de'ge'pol and its chairman, Dominik Meier, to the board of its European umbrella organisation. The members also reelected the other board members - APRI, Spain (Maria Rosa Rotondo), APAA, Czech Republic (Vaclav Nekvapil), Il Chiostro, Italy (Micol Bertoni), and RLRA, Romania (Laura Florea). In the members’ opinion, the Executive Board had steered P.A.C.E. sovereignly through the crisis. Broad support was also voiced for the future course. In addition, the members appointed the Belgian sister federation Bepact, represented by Stefaan Fiers, to the board.

With the official admission of the French AFCL (Association Française des Conseils en lobbying et Af- faires publiques), the organisation welcomed an essential “new” member to the European public af- fairs community, which will now be actively represented by its president, Nicolas Bouvier. Paris al- ready distinguished itself as the host of one of the last annual P.A.C.E. meetings.

The de'ge'pol congratulates its chair Dominik Meier as well as the entire board for the successful re- election and welcomes the continuation of the European cooperation of the national professional associations of interest representatives. In times that are marked by increasing disenchantment with politics throughout Europe, common understanding and cross-border exchange in the public affairs sector is of great importance. "P.A.C.E. is the leading organisation in Europe where national associa- tions agree on quality and ethics in advocacy and represent our interests towards national and inter- national organisations and governments. We still have a lot to do. Let's do it - together!"

P.A.C.E. is the federation of European national public affairs and lobbying associations. Its aim is to create a common framework for the European public affairs industry across EU borders and with members from across the European continent. P.A.C.E. has a long shared history: Launched in May 2011 as a joint plat- form of national organisations of European public affairs professionals and lobbyists, the Public Affairs Community now counts over ten national European platforms among its members.
